Double connectors

Formal connectors
- Concession: dennoch, trotzdem, nichtsdestotrotz, allerdings
- Consequence: folglich, infolgedessen, somit
- Condition: falls, sofern, vorausgesetzt, dass
- Contrast: während, hingegen, im Gegensatz dazu
Word order of je ... desto
The je-clause is a subordinate clause (verb at the end). In the desto-clause the verb is in position 2, directly after desto + comparative: Je mehr ich lerne, desto besser verstehe ich.
